Sclerotherapy Instructions

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Thigh-HI Compression Stockings (Bring with you to the office on the day of the procedure). Hydrocodone and Diazepam Prescriptions (If recommended by your doctor, Fill at your pharmacy and bring the pills with you to the office the day of the procedure. Do not take them until instructed to do so). Hold Blood Thinners (as specified below- Pradaxa, Eliquis or Xarelto-Hold for 2 days prior to the procedure Coumadin (Warfarin)-Hold for 3 days prior to the procedure. Transportation (Please arrange for a ride to and from the office on the day of the procedure. Please do not drive for 24 hours after the procedure). Clothes, Hygiene (Wear loose fitting clothes on the day of the procedure. Please shower on the day of the procedure but do not apply lotion). Fluids, Food (Drink plenty of fluids prior to the procedure. There are no diet restrictions prior to the procedure).
