Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab - Circulator


The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients. The RN is responsible for daily operations in the Cardiac Cath Lab, admission/assessment of patients, medication administration, direct and indirect patient care, circulating diagnostic and interventional cases. Maintain professional standards and seeks professional growth. Providing care to patients in accordance with the supervision of the medical staff.


Knowledge and Skils:

  • ACLS
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • An ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain clinical competency as required for the unit of assignment
  • A positive attitude towards health care team member and diverse patient populations
  • An ability to demonstrate proficiency under all work environmental conditions related to changing patients needs, including work with patients needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic and complex disease processes
  • Must be able to work independently, complete tasks without supervision and demonstrate independence with decision-making and problem solving in job related activities
  • Exhibits regular, predictable attendance in accordance with departmental policies and be able to manage time demands effectively
  • Demonstrates flexibility to changing work environment or responsibilities and must be able to function in emergency situations
  • Exhibits professional and ethical conduct at all times and is courteous with patients, co-workers, family members, physicians and the general public
  • Appropriately handles confidential information regarding patient records
  • Must take the initiative to set personal and patient related goals
  • Maintains a safe working environment
  • Uses a broad variety of equipment and patient care appliances routinely to provide patient care
  • Must pass competency, checklists for all responsibilities outlined by the departmental program/policy
  • Will participate and promote positive team interactions to ensure quality patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration

Education and Experience


  • Graudation for an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years Critical Care and/or Cath Lab experience


  • 3-5 years Critical Care experience and/or 2-year diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab experience


  • Current RN Licensure from the state of Missouri, BLS and ACLS
