Congratulations to Dr. Toniya Singh, recently elected as Chief of the Department of Medicine at Christian Hospital!  In this role, Dr. Singh will oversee the largest department of physicians at the hospital.

Dr. Singh demonstrates her passion for medicine – and cardiology in particular – with her work within cardiology and in the communities where she practices.  She is currently serving as the Chair of the National Women in Cardiology Council for the American College of Cardiology (ACC).  Dr. Singh also participates in the ACC’s National Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, the National Selection Committee for Cohort IV for the ACC Leadership Academy, and the Campaign for the Future of the ACC. And with the American Heart Association, she serves on the CLCD Committee for selecting Mentoring Awards as well as on the Women in Cardiology Council.

In Missouri and the St. Louis metropolitan area, Dr. Singh’s positions include numerous committee and leadership roles.  Among these are the Missouri State Continuing Medical Education Committee,  the Planning Committee for Missouri State ACC Scientific Sessions, and several hospital leadership posts.

Dr. Singh’s awards and honors have included the 2019 Knowledge to Practice Top Female Cardiologist, Leading Physicians of the World, membership in The Expert Network and twice being named to the Best Doctors in America list.

Assiduous and attentive, Dr. Singh remains dedicated to providing empathetic and efficient health care. Her other interests include public speaking, reading, and traveling.
