Harvey Serota was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. He graduated from The Johns Hopkins University of Medicine. He served his internship and residency at Duke University. He served his cardiology fellowship at Washington University. Dr. Serota also extended his cardiology fellowship at St. Louis University for extensive interventional cardiology for one year.
Dr. Serota has served as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, at St. Louis University Medical Center since January 1991. Dr. Serota also serves as the instructor in Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Washington University of Medicine, a position he has held since July 2008.
Dr. Serota is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. His special interests include interventional cardiology, specifically PTCA and intracoronary stent placement. Dr. Serota is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
